Mantle Psychology are an NHS approved provider of choice and are commissioned to provide assessments for all age adults, and children for Autism and ADHD. These assessments are fully funded by the Integrated Care Board and can be accessed via a referral from your GP or CAMHS.
Please note that we are an assessment only service, we do not offer ADHD medication.
Our current approx. wait time is 16 months for both adults and children.

How to access a Right to Choose referral

Make an appointment with your GP

Request to be referred to your chosen provider

GPs should have access to the referral form

To access a right to choose referral you will need to make an appointment with your GP and request one. They will need to agree that an assessment is clinically appropriate and necessary based on the information you provide to them.

The GP will need to fill out the referral form at the time of appointment. They may ask you to fill out some screening questionnaires to support your referral. You will need to tell them that you would like to be referred to Mantle Psychology.

GPs should have access to the referral form, if they do not have access or haven’t referred to us previously they will need to email us directly at office@mantlepsychology.com

Please note Calderdale Children and Young People need to refer for a right to choose assessment via Open Minds (CAMHS).

What are the next steps?

What happens once I have been referred to Mantle?

Once your referrer has sent your referral to us, and we have received it and processed it, you will receive confirmation from us along with triage forms to be completed. Additional questionnaires will need to be filled out by an informant or parents and an education provider (for child assessments).

Your answers will give us essential information to determine whether an assessment would be suitable at this time. Our clinicians will review the information and we will inform you as to whether you have been accepted onto our neurodevelopmental assessment waiting list or not.

What happens when I am at the top of the waitlist?

Once you have made it to the top of our waitlist and prior to any appointments being scheduled, you will be sent a further email requesting you to fill out some updated questionnaires. Once all forms have been returned to us you will be added to our team allocation list. The forms will be reviewed by our Clinical Lead, and you will be assigned to the team of clinicians best suited to yours or your child’s needs and based on the assessment type required.

When will I get my appointments?

You will then be provided with the next set of available appointments with that team and be notified via email of those scheduled appointments. You will need to respond to the appointment email to confirm that you can attend those appointments or should you need to reschedule.

Please note that there is an extremely high demand for appointments and we are able to offer limited flexibility with times and dates. It may require that you take some time away from work, school or activities to attend. We would recommend being flexible in order to be seen as promptly as possible.
